The annual Marijuana Business Conference in Las Vegas, running through Friday at the Rio, is in many ways a metaphor for the burgeoning legal cannabis industry.

On one hand, it’s a professional, suit-and-tie business conference — with important meetings, industry-reshaping deals and big announcements on deck. On the other, it’s a friggin’ party — with sponsored parties, sponsored afterparties and unofficial after-afterparties with legal cannabis CEOs and their staffs smoking, vaporizing and eating pot all over the Strip and hashtagging their photos“#whathappensinvegas.”

Attorney General Eric Holder is pushing for fairer sentencing guidelines for non-violent drug offenders. It's about time. The "War On Drugs" has been a massive waste of money and human life that unfairly targets poor minorities.

A New Jersey woman expecting a box of hair products she ordered online got a much more surprising delivery last week.

Inside the box was 50 pounds of marijuana.

The homeowner says it wasn't addressed to her and she had no idea who sent it, so she called police. The pot has a street value of up to $100,000.

The police department has posted pictures of the pot on its Facebook page, inviting the person expecting the package to come to police headquarters to claim it.

So far there have been no takers.

A pig who was caught tucking into cannabis plants gave officers some trouble as he REFUSED to give up his stash.

The feral porker, who was caught in Toowoomba in Queensland, Australia, was too large for the cops to seize the drugs, according to the Courier Mail .

Police said that they attended a house and saw a man inside an enclosed pen.

They then spotted the pig, who was eating a “green leafy material”.
