Can Cannabis Help Glaucoma

What is Glaucoma?

The optic nerve carries signals from the eye to the brain, resulting in vision. Glaucoma can lead to damage of the optic nerve, and untreated, long-standing glaucoma can lead to blindness. In many cases, this damage is caused by an increase in pressure within the eye (intra-ocular pressure), resulting from abnormalities with the amount of fluid in the front portion of the eye, called “aqueous humor“, which is produced by a part of the eye called the ciliary body.

Watch: $10M Worth of Marijuana Found in Frozen Avocado Shipment

Authorities found more than $10 million worth of marijuana hidden in a shipment of frozen avocado pulp at a west suburban cold storage facility in Illinois.

Workers at the facility in Lyons called police on March 4 after they noticed a suspicious shipment had arrived, bearing instructions “for an urgent pick-up,” according to the Cook County sheriff’s office.

Sheriff’s police responded to the building on the 8400 block of West 47th Street with a narcotics-sniffing dog, which detected drugs inside the pallets, police said.

Authorities ultimately found 2,100 pounds of marijuana—more than a ton—hidden in roughly 1,500 packages of frozen avocado pulp, police said. The drugs were packed into flat bricks and covered in the pulp.

‘Smoke Weed Everyday,’ taunts hacked digital traffic sign at Montana college

As far as college-rooted practical jokes go, the on-campus digital traffic sign reading "SMOKE WEED EVERYDAY" at the University of Montana is right up there with the time a Los Angeles art student made the Hollywood sign read "Hollyweed." If you drove by the corner of Sixth and Arthur streets in Missoula on Monday morning you might have seen the prankster's handiwork, undoubtedly a shout-out to one of Dr. Dre's most memorable kiss-offs.

LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) -- A man in Lincoln, Nebraska, has been cited for possessing pot inside a container that had been slapped with a label reading: "Not Weed."

The Lincoln Journal Star reports that Lancaster County deputies stopped the man's vehicle around 9 p.m. Saturday. Officers found the plastic sour cream container during a search of his car, and the driver acknowledged that the pot belonged to him.

He was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving and cited for having less than an ounce of marijuana.
