Although it seemed possible that an Oklahoma initiative aimed at legalizing a statewide medical marijuana program was headed for the ballot this November, a report from the Associated Press suggests that this proposal is not likely to appear before the voters in 2016 because of some changes being made to the ballot title sent down by Attorney General Scott Pruitt.

Australian Farmers' Green Light for Marijuana Sale

LICENSED farmers will soon be able to buy and sell marijuana seed under strict controls after enabling legislation was introduced into State Parliament.

Agriculture Minister Leanne Donaldson said the amendments to the Drug Misuse Act will allow farmers to join the supply chain and will create new opportunities for agriculture.

There are already a small number of Queensland farmers able to grow industrial hemp, which has very low levels of the cannabinoid that gives the high.

According to the Government those farmers have developed seed lines which could be beneficial to medicinal marijuana growers.

Mrs Donaldson said existing laws did not allow those hemp growers to sell the seed.

In Mere Minutes, Ultra-Marathoner Wins 420 Games Race In San Francisco

It looks like Avery Collins - the ultra-marathoner who uses cannabis as part of his training regimen - is built for speed as well as distance. The 24-year-old from North Carolina won the third annual 420 Games road race in San Francisco on the weekend in a time of just nine minutes. Mind you, he didn't run 4.2 miles in that time (the race was shortened to two miles at the last minute because of some traffic issues in the area) but that's still really fast.

To prep for the race, the Colorado resident told SFGATE he ate some potato chip edibles and toked a couple of times.

While prosecutors accused him of preparing the almost 6kg of drugs for sale, the father of one insisted during his District Court trial that it was instead used for “medicinal” purposes.

Nurses Won't Give Cannabis Oil to Son Who Suffers Seizures, Toronto Mom Says

Health Canada allows nurses to administer medical marijuana, but health facilities may have other policies.

A Toronto mother whose son suffers from chronic seizures due to a rare genetic condition is frustrated that some nurses in Toronto hospitals have refused to administer cannabis oil, which she says brings him relief.
