Why I Have Joined the Liberal Democrats.

In my view the only rational choice for the next UK government is another Conservative and Liberal Democrat coalition.

The Labour Party is simply a joke.  Miliband is an out-of-touch, Hampstead-socialist buffoon who was part of the team whose reckless borrowing meant that the banking crisis destroyed this country’s economy.  It is ludicrous that we should even consider giving the same people another chance.

Cameron is an oily, two-faced oaf who has transformed the Conservative Party into the Bullingdon Club Party, dominated by out-of-touch posh boys with quasi-fascists like Theresa May, Iain Duncan Smith and Chris Grayling as their attack dogs.

Pakistan seizes three tonnes of hashish bound for Middle East, Europe

Pakistani authorities have seized more than 3 tonnes of hashish bound for the Middle East and Europe on an oil tanker, one of the country's largest hauls of the drug ever, police and coastguard officials said on Wednesday.

The drugs were found late on Tuesday after a tip-off. The tanker had set sail from Karachi and three Pakistani men from the southwestern province of Baluchistan had been arrested for drug trafficking, police said.

"The hashish was kept in secret compartments especially meant for drug smuggling," said police officer Chakar Khan.

D.A.R.E. Removes Satire Article After Being Exposed, Board Members Deny Membership

In what continues to be a humorous story that is unfolding before our very eyes, D.A.R.E. removed a satirical article from their website earlier today after TruthVoice exposed the article as satire and pointed out how D.A.R.E. shared it as a factual piece to their readers in an attempt to scare them, or perhaps lie to them about the dangers associated with the use of Marijuana.

RCMP concerned plan to cultivate opium poppies will attract criminals

OTTAWA -- The RCMP has voiced concerns to Health Canada about an Alberta company's plans to cultivate opium poppies over fears the medicinal project could attract drug-peddling criminals.

Lethbridge-based API Labs Inc. says it understands the national police force's worries, but insists the risk of criminal involvement can be managed with the proper precautions.

The national police force expressed its reservations about API Labs' activities during a conference call with several other federal agencies -- including Public Safety, the Privy Council Office and Health Canada -- in April last year, an internal RCMP briefing note reveals.

Italy: Legalize cannabis you can, says the National Anti-Mafia Directorate

In Italy cannabis it is now as widespread as wine, spirits and cigarettes so we might as well accept it and change strategy. As is fashionable now. Perhaps to allow the State to save a part of human and technological resources that involve increasing costs. And on the other hand (why not?) To check the legality of a product that is distributed by the State and removed from the Mafia, it is estimated that could give an increase in taxes of 7-10 billion euro a year. A maneuver of adjustment that today would solve all the problems with Europe, which looks to our accounts to the last euro.

Some Denver City Council candidates open to relaxed marijuana rules

Sixteen months after Colorado launched legal recreational marijuana sales, the center of the burgeoning industry in Denver is asking to extend shops' evening closing hours and revisit the outright ban on public consumption.

And many City Council candidates in Tuesday's election are receptive — including several with a good shot of winning or proceeding to a runoff.

Industry concerns center on competing with pot shops in neighboring cities that have closing hours later than Denver's 7 p.m. cutoff for both recreational and medical stores. Some in the industry also want to provide tourists with safe, legal places to smoke or consume their purchases, since hotels typically don't allow it in rooms.

Germans mark a milestone in the fight to legalize marijuana

Meanwhile tough new policy orders policemen to detain all users and dealers caught in known drug-dealing park

Imagine this: a young man walks into a coffee shop, shows his ID and ask to buy five grams of cannabis. No one calls the police. Instead, the clerk answers with a smile: "No problem! But before you pay, why don't you follow me to the next room? Let's chat about the possible consequences of drug use." Simple, safe and educational - many see this as the future of drug deals in Germany.

Yet the road to legalization is still paved with obstacles, even in party-loving Berlin.
