Donald Trump has admitted the presidency is "a bigger job than I thought", a leading Republican has revealed.

After meeting the president-elect last week, former speaker of the house Newt Gingrich told 'USA Today' the billionaire businessman was starting to appreciate the burden of the Oval Office.

Mr Gingrich said: "He commented, 'This is really a bigger job than I thought.' Which is good. He should think that."

As president of the United States, Mr Gingrich said "you have war and peace, you have enormous powers...and it all comes down to the Oval Office and it all comes down to you."

"Believe me."

Not so much! The former “Daily Show” host joined his pal Stephen Colbert on “The Late Show” Monday night to encourage the audience to vote — and to slam Donald Trump one last time before Election Day.

John Oliver delivered a national apology during Sunday's Last Week Tonight, taking blame for the rise of Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump. "It is frankly hard to believe that there was a time when people thought a Trump candidacy would be funny," the comedian said, before cueing up a Trump-related clip from his 2013 guest-hosting stint on The Daily Show.

Speaking at the Stand Up For Heroes event, Jon Stewart tells the story of how Donald Trump went on an anti-Semitic tear, repeating over and over that Stewart's birth surname was Leibowitz, implying that he'd changed it to disguise his Jewish ancestry. 

As Stewart points out, the fact that he is Jewish is incredibly obvious. After a ton of this, Stewart took up the gauntlet, tweeting that Trump's real name was "Fuckface von Clownstick." 

If there's one thing we learned from the presidential debates, it's that Trump will rise to bait. And he did -- boy, did he...

Even Obama has been pulling a few puns at Trump's Twitter account being confiscated by his advisors.
