This Canadian Company Now Makes Marijuana-Infused Coffee Pods For Keurig

There may soon be a new use for your Keurig coffee maker — brewing pot.

Canadian medical cannabis producer CannTrust has created a single-serve marijuana pod called the CANNCUP.

Like other pods on the market, the CANNCUP will contain your choice of coffee, tea, or hot chocolate. But these capsules will have a little extra something — dried cannabis.

Pop one in your single serve coffee machine and it will brew up a hot drink spiked with "a standardized dose of medical marijuana," explains CannTrust CEO Eric Paul.

Clinical study at CAMH tests how cannabis affects volunteers’ driving skills

There are two kinds of buzzed people who take the wheel of his simulated Chevy in the basement of a CAMH building, Dr. Robert Mann observes: those who drive cautiously and those who let ’er rip.

The scientist with the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health points to the flat-screen TVs that serve as the “windshield” for the extracted cab of a Chevrolet compact — complete with steering wheel, dashboard, gear shift and pedals — and explains the clinical study he’s been working on since 2013.

CannLabs closes Colorado testing facility, lays off workers

Colorado marijuana testing facility CannLabs closed its Denver laboratory on Tuesday and laid off as many as 15 employees.

The shutdown of one of the largest labs in Colorado, and one considered an industry leader, comes after months of controversy involving the company’s leadership.

“It’s positive for us,” CannLabs Inc. CEO Mark Mirken told The Denver Post on Tuesday, “There were a significant amount of issues surrounding our involvement with CannLabs Colorado, items that were made public by certain people within that company that were factually incorrect and clearly became an impediment to our ability to work with them under the administrative services agreement.”

Cannabis Coffee Makers Are Hoping to Become Bulletproof 2.0

A new wave of legal-weed entrepreneurs wants to put the dope in your doppio.

It was during an endless drive home from a camping trip in eastern Washington that entrepreneur Adam Stites came up with his latest product. "What would happen if I infused heavy cream with cannabis, then mixed it with my coffee?" he mused. (“My VW van doesn’t go very fast, so I have a lot of time to think,” Stites explains.)

Illinois' budding cannabis industry has its own tech meetup

Cannabis tech is beginning to bud in Chicago.

Following the long-awaited opening of several legal cannabis dispensaries earlier this month, many Chicagoans can finally buy the medical marijuana they need to help treat their qualifying medical conditions.

Medical marijuana has been legal in Illinois since 2014, but until very recently, patients had no place to legally buy the drug — even with their physician’s prescription.

The recent news has caused quite a bit of buzz — little of which was lost on Chicago’s tech community.

Golden Leaf eyes joint listing as cannabis market grows

To help educate consumers, Flow Kana hosts soirées where guests can sample ‘tastings’ of different cannabis strains

A cannabis company is poised to become the first marijuana producer with a joint listing in Europe and the US as it seeks to take advantage of shifting attitudes to the drug that are spawning a new industry.

Golden Leaf Holdings, one of the largest cannabis oil producers in the US, has said it will list on London’s Aim or in Germany early next year — and in New York within a month.

Need weed? Now you can get pot delivered to your door

California’s loosening laws are making it easy for on-demand services to deliver marijuana to patients stuck at home.

Mark Daniel plops his tackle box on the kitchen table, then cracks it open to show off the selection. He’s got organic granola bars with cannabis, cannabis covered in chocolate, pot-infused cookies, gummy chews and tinctures of pot oil that you drop beneath your tongue.

The frail, elderly woman across the table likes the sound of that last one. She has throat cancer and would prefer something she didn’t have to smoke.

She giggles at the thought of getting a bit stoned and finally sleeping through the night. “Yes, this is medicine,” she says, making her choice.
