California Marijuana Company Ships Cannabis-Derived Product to the UK

A cannabis producing and processing company based in California has been selling and shipping a range of their products to UK customers. They also ship to other countries where the import and export of the cannabis flower is illegal, such as Brazil, Spain and Germany. This is the first time a cannabis-derived product has been shipped on an international scale, and the products have been reaching UK customers with no problem – but before you start to fret, everything is completely legal.

Uruguay sharpens details to start selling marijuana in July in 50 pharmacies

However, sales of recreational cannabis in pharmacies is no consensus in the trade sector, such as the Association of Chemistry and Pharmacy of Uruguay (AQFU), which has communicated to its various partners "it is not the place to sell  this drug" in contrast to the provisions of the current law.

Today official sources reported that the Uruguayan government finalized the details to begin the sale of marijuana for recreational use in some 50 pharmacies across the country starting July, following the adoption in 2013 of a law that regulates the production and sale of the grass.

Colombia: For Lack of Quorum, Approval of Medical Marijuana Is Postponed

Although in the country no one was penalized, and a decree was signed in December regulated its use for medicinal purposes, only a law could protect the initiative.

The House of Representatives, for lack of a quorum, suspended the approval of the bill that would put the country at the same level of Chile, Puerto Rico and Uruguay on issues of use and consumption of marijuana for medicinal purposes.

Senator Juan Manuel Galan, speaker for the project, said that the law shall regulate the planting, cultivation and distribution of cannabis and medicinal products based on this plant.

Uruguay to Test World's First State-Commissioned Recreational Cannabis

For a Latin American narcotics kingpin, Guillermo Delmonte cuts a low key figure. The 29-year-old Uruguayan has never smoked cannabis in his life. He’s never smoked a cigarette either, and he barely drinks. When asked if he has any vices, he has to pause to think. “I’m addicted to orange juice. Perhaps,” he eventually says with a bemused laugh.

Sitting in his minimalist office overlooking Montevideo’s main square, and wearing an open-necked Ralph Lauren shirt and expensive blue jeans, he looks every bit the fitness-obsessed executive.

Argentina's budding marijuana industry poised to flower

Buenos Aires has a unique cannabis business, where the business consists of everything except the cannabis itself.

Ignacio Goyret, the owner of the Basta de Lobby Shop, explains that he sells almost everything concerning cannabis, 99 percent.

"I don't touch seeds, and that's the remaining one percent," he said.

Sales of seeds and products with THC, the active chemical in cannabis, is illegal.

Courts have tolerated possession for personal use and, in specific cases, have recently allowed medicines containing THC.

There are no restrictions on the sale of flower pots, fertilizer and other equipment to grow marijuana.

Nevertheless, if police find the plants, there will be problems with the law.
