Jamaica: MoBay Ganja Farmer Unhappy With CLA

At least one western Jamaica-based ganja farmer has come out openly in challenging what he says is the Cannabis Licensing Authority's (CLA) lack of readiness to preside over a properly regulated legal ganja and hemp industry.

During a recent town hall meeting in Montego Bay, officials of the CLA were taken to task by businessman Orville Powell, after he was told that the authority did not have a blueprint on how to export ganja, and were also unaware of any importers who were waiting in the wings to do business with local ganja farmers.

Cannabis Odds: Blunt Talk About Legalization

Full-fledged cannabis legalization: is it only a matter of time? Before we get to the odds on the topic de jure, a little context.

Cannabis was a part of America’s consciousness long before Harry Chapin’s song “Taxi” was on the airwaves in the early 1970s, and even before grass enthusiasts endured days of rain at Woodstock a few years earlier.

3 Ways to Avoid Losing Cash in the Legal Marijuana Industry

The THC in the marijuana plant is medicinal and the fibers in hemp can be used in manufacturing. This has led to marijuana being legalized in some states in the US. It is expected that 16 more states will legalize the use of marijuana within the next 5 years. 14 of these states will legalize the use of recreational marijuana and 2 states will legalize medical marijuana. How Do You Use Medical Marijuana The Right Way? Let Releaf Be Your Guide

While more and more people are being prescribed medical cannabis, we don't know much about why it works - and even less about how certain strains work for specific ailments.

The makers of a new app, Releaf, are hoping to provide a better framework for medical users to track what types of cannabis work best for them. Founded in 2015 by Branden Hall, Franco Brockelman, and Keenan Keeling, Releaf could regiment a process that, for most patients, has been of necessity based on trial-and-error.

Another Reason Cannabis is a Socially Responsible Investment

The Evils of Capitalism Will Make You Wealthy.

The title of the article was, “The Undeniable Evils of Capitalism.”

The guy who wrote it was clearly a fool.

If there’s one thing that really fires me up, it’s some moral do-gooder who seeks to place the burden of blame for the world’s problems on what is the greatest force for good in the world: capitalism.

The truth is, I actually take offense to the suggestion that those who seek to utilize capitalism as a mechanism to wealth and prosperity are somehow evil. Especially when you consider that capitalism is also the greatest catalyst for positive change in our world today.

No Apologies
