How Forensic Fog Prevents Cannabis Property Crimes

Security is not only an integral part of any growing legal cannabis business, but it’s also a licensing requirement. Many traditional security companies aren’t open to changing their protocols. I had the chance to talk with Douglas White of Forensic Fog Technologies to discuss how cannabis businesses could change the way everyone looks at security and asset protection – no matter the location.

Jason Sander: Thanks for joining me today, Douglas. Let’s start with your elevator pitch.

This Is What It's Like To Work For A Marijuana Startup

The newly budding industry’s employees are purpose-driven, highly motivated, and sometimes a little baked.

At first glance, MassRoots is just like any other technology company in America. The Denver-based social platform for marijuana enthusiasts boasts an open-concept, loft-style office filled with 33 talented programmers, developers, and sales staff.

But beneath the surface there’s something unique about working at a pot startup, and it has little to do with the fact that employees are often permitted to consume the substance on the job.

How to Choose the Best Cannabis Extraction Method

By Rick Scarpello, CEO of Medically Correct

Let’s discuss cannabis extraction methods with facts and not religion. I’m pro-faith, but let’s call it what it is. When someone has faith in their opinion and not scientific evidence, it’s a religious endeavor. I will try to stay with what we know and let religious zealots scream from the rooftop about co2 being better.

FDA Approves Synthetic Liquid Marijuana Compound

The FDA just approved a new, synthetic THC product for use in treating a variety of ailments, in liquid form. But despite being the first liquid THC replacement on the market, this may not be worth the buzz.

Syndros is a liquid dronabinol, which is a synthesized version of THC or tetrahydrocannabinol. The FDA approved it this week as a Schedule III drug—essentially calling it safe and free of addictive tendencies, in comparison with marijuana, which remains a Schedule I drug alongside heroin.

Cannabis Tech Accelerator Launches in San Diego

Canopy San Diego is looking to invest in early-stage cannabis related companies ranging from water conservation systems to tracking and shipping software.

While Californians consider legalizing recreational pot use, a few San Diego entrepreneurs are already casting their vote in favor of the state’s cannabis industry.

The group, called Canopy San Diego, is accepting applications for its pot-themed technology accelerator, a first for Southern California. The concept is to find and fund early-stage companies with ideas that can assist the state’s dispensaries and growers. That could range from water conservation tools to more optimal packaging; payroll software to analytics.
