State Panel To Decide On Medical Marijuana For Children With Autism - WILX.com

Most of the people who gave early testimony two months ago were in favor of using medical marijuana to treat autism.

LANSING A state panel is expected to decide today if medical marijuana use should be allowed to treat autism.

The panel heard testimony from both sides of the issue a few months ago. Proponents say oil extracted from the plant has been shown to be effective in controlling behavior, while opponents say there is no strong evidence that medical marijuana helps the majority of children with autism.

Most of the people who gave early testimony two months ago were in favor of using medical marijuana to treat autism.
