If you're looking for a cannabis-friendly vacation spot, some destinations are no-brainers: JamaicaDenver. And even Uruguay, which legalized cannabis in 2013.

But for those who prefer more off-the-beaten track travel with top-notch cannabis, and minimal restrictions on possession and consumption, you might want to pack your parka and plan ahead for a trip to Alaska.

Alaska legalized the consumption and possession of cannabis in 2014; however, many approved retailers are still working with local government authorities to complete the process and open their doors to tourists. 

Some, like Juneau Cannabis Tours, are poised to begin operations: when permitted, the Juneau-based firm will offer an "informative, eye opening, grin-inducing tour" of Southeast Alaska's cultivation facilities, retail stores, and manufacturing facilities hosted by their team of "cannabis aficionados."
