HempFlax boosting European hemp market with brand new factory in Romania

On Friday the 16th of October 2015 Sensi Seeds’ daughter company HempFlax opened a brand new factory in the Alba region of Romania. A new and very special chapter for the company that aimed to relaunch the hemp industry 20 years ago, and is successfully doing so.

HempFlax, the leading Dutch hemp processing company, has invested 5 million euros in the European hemp industry, which were used for the opening of their first factory in Sebes, Romania. A unique moment in the history of industrial hemp that was witnessed by 100 special guests during a festive opening ceremony that took place on October 16th. Among the guests was Emar Gemmeke, Counsellor for Agriculture, Food and Nature for the Dutch Embassy in Romania. Also present, Elena Tatomir, General Director of the Romanian Ministry of Agriculture.
