Magnolia man arrested for marijuana grow operation

The Delaware State Police arrested a Magnolia man on Thursday morning accused of growing 12 marijuana plants in a house on Covenant Lane.
The state police and the U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency’s Office of Diversion Control found a “sophisticated growing operation” in the residence after securing a search warrant. Cannabis growing lights and ventilation were found in two rooms along with 8.4 pounds of marijuana, according to the state police.
Bruce E. Hufnal Jr., 54, was taken into custody and charged with manufacturing a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance in a tier 3 quantity, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was released on $15,200 unsecured bond.
