Pro-pot radio blitz to include Pa. airwaves
he radio airwaves will be a little greener in the Keystone State. "Cannabis Facts" announcements began airing this week in two cities.
Robert Platshorn, also known as Bobby Tuna, served almost 30 years in federal penitentiary for smuggling marijuana in the 1970's. Since gaining his freedom the Philly native has become a hard-working advocate for ending cannabis prohibition.
The subject of a documentary "Square Grouper," Platshorn launched a project called The Silver Tour to educate senior citizens about medical marijuana. Part of that work included producing a video called "Should Grandma Smoke Pot?"
Platshorn was instrumental in the almost-successful effort last year to legalize medical marijuana in Florida. He's also backing a new push for full legalization in the Sunshine State with a group called Regulate Florida.
