420 Intel marijuana news site crashed due to high traffic yesterday

Yesterday we experienced a site-wide outage on 420intel.com that lasted for less than an hour. Unfortunately it happened at the worst possible time (soon after the newsletter went out), and was due to a high volume of traffic on the site. We realize that many of you may not have been able to access 420 Intel for that period of time, and we apologize for the inconvenience this caused. Luckily due to our redundant backups, no information was lost and we were able to get back online quickly.

While we're pleased about the high number of users visiting 420 Intel, we want to take steps to decrease the likelihood of this happening again. Therefore we have already upgraded our server hardware and software, including adding processors and increasing RAM which has effectively quadrupled the capacity of our web server.
