Canadian cannabis stock moves higher on facility launch

A new marijuana production facility attracted investors to a Canadian cannabis stock Wednesday.

Here’s some small stocks making big moves on Wednesday, February 20, 2019 (as of 11:30 am EST):

Emerald Health Therapeutics, Inc. (TSXV:EMH), a Canadian cannabis stock, jumped 10% to $3.71 on Wednesday after announcing the launch of Verdélite Sciences Inc., a wholly-owned, Québec-based production subsidiary licensed by Health Canada, which currently produces high-grade dried cannabis for medical and adult-use purposes.

As well, shares of Uni-Select Inc. (TSX:UNS) slid 19% to $15.62 as the provider of automotive refinish and industrial paint and related products said its fourth-quarter adjusted EBITDA fell 23% to $21.4 million.

OneSoft Solutions Inc. (TSXV:OSS), meanwhile, reported that its wholly-owned subsidiary has revealed that another software trial client has adopted OneBridge’s Cognitive Integrity Management software-as-a-service solution for long-term use. OneSoft Solutions stock moved up 13% to $0.68 following the announcement.

Finally, Barkerville Gold Mines Ltd. (TSXV:BGM) shares rose 7% to $0.46 after the gold explorer announced final drilling results from the 2018 Island Mountain exploration and category conversion program at its Cariboo Gold Project in British Columbia, which included 7.75 g/t gold over 46.0 meters.
