Doctor starts medical marijuana practice in Brockton, ON

BROCKTON – Dr. Charles Walker wants his colleagues to know that patients can find medical marijuana treatment in a secure and supportive place.

“We want people to feel comfortable sending their patients to a place that is legitimate, that is credible, and to a doctor that has experience in chronic pain and chronic conditions,” Walker said. “We want to focus on follow-up, make sure the patient is doing well.”

Walker opened MedWell Health and Wellness on Pearl Street in Brockton on June 1.

A former family physician from Lakeville and longtime rehabilitation doctor, Walker is one of dozens of physicians statewide registered with the state Department of Public Health to certify patients for the use and possession of medical marijuana.

And if you missed this stock last year – no worries. We'll start you now as it continues its run – a run that took off while "popular" medical marijuana stocks cratered.

Here's how we'll do it…

For those hoping that Big Pharma could still be blocked from the medical cannabis scene there is bad news: the deal is done. Look for the first naturally-derived, Big Pharma-produced cannabis product to be on the market by the first half of 2016, perhaps even sooner.

Bud and Breakfasts and 420 Tours: Denver sees a cannabis 'gold rush'

It’s not unusual for 24-year-old Maggie Copeland to have a conversation with her coworkers about pot.

“It’s quite professional,” she said of her nonprofit office in Denver, Colorado. “Weed comes up a lot.

“After a tough day, it’s not uncommon that people at work will say ‘I’m gonna go smoke a bowl’ instead of ‘I’m gonna have a glass of wine’.”
