Developers plan world's first marijuana mini mall for Trinidad, Colorado

A group of developers have selected Trinidad, Colorado as the site for their green dream, the world's first marijuana mini mall.

Developers Sean Sheridan and Chris Elkins said Trinidad's laws and tourism make it a friendly place for their newest venture.

"This town has a zero-foot setback, which allows us to put five dispensaries here right next to one another. As far as we know, we are the only town in Colorado that we can do this in," said Elkins.

The group recently purchased a building on Commercial Street in downtown Trinidad. The developers have received permits from the city and are waiting on final approval from the City Council.

Will 2016 be the year of legalization in Italy? Someone is already preparing

According to estimates, Italians consume about 3 million pounds of cannabis each year. The debate "legalization, or not" has been going on for years without ever leading to concrete results. In 2015 something moved when a bill for cannabis freedom came to the House, ready to fill a legal vacuum that has lasted two years. So 2016 might truly be the year of the legalization of cannabis for recreational purposes? The Minister of Justice Orlando brakes, but there are those who bet on the legalization creating the first Italian brand for the sale of cannabis and open selections for the franchise.

Seattle City Council OKs rules to allow pot shops in more neighborhoods, closer to parks

Seattle will reduce buffer zones in some places while trying to keep the stores from clustering in some neighborhoods. The plan to allow additional shops, however, may not work as intended.

Legal pot businesses would be allowed in more parts of Seattle under rules approved Monday by the City Council.

Mayor Ed Murray proposed relaxing state-imposed buffers between pot shops and some sensitive areas, such as parks and arcades. As required by state law, the buffers would remain at 1,000 feet between pot businesses and schools and playgrounds.
