Aurora Cannabis Stock Starts To Distinguish Itself From The Pot-Stock Pack

With nothing more than a passing glance, marijuana company Aurora Cannabis(NYSE:ACB) doesn’t look terribly different than peers and rivals, like Tilray(NASDAQ:TLRY) or Canopy Growth (NYSE:CGC). Cannabis is cannabis. A closer, second look at the company, however, makes clear that an investment in ACB stock is considerably different than an investment in other marijuana stocks.

That’s by design, too, by the way. Aurora Cannabis is deliberately capitalizing on the opportunities others are overlooking, and skipping the more-crowded swathes of the market.

Crazy idea: Cronos Group could buy both of these marijuana stocks

This is a big year of transformation for the marijuana industry. After thriving for years on promises, Wall Street and investors are now ready to see results.

With Canada having legalized recreational marijuana, and more than 40 countries worldwide giving the green light to medical marijuana, sales and profits actually matter for marijuana stocks. One highly popular pot stock that's come into focus as this transition takes place is Ontario-based Cronos Group (NASDAQ:CRON).

4 Canadian cannabis stocks with an outdoor cultivation edge

In an industry with low barriers to entry and undifferentiated products, such as cannabis, companies are constantly searching for ways to get a competitive advantage. One of the ways we have started to see cannabis companies try to get an edge over their competition is low-cost outdoor cultivation. Generally, outdoor plants are larger than indoor ones. This is because the plants have more space and can grow larger leaves, which in turn can help them capture more of the sun’s energy.

Enthusiastic pot stock investors have pushed the industry tracking Horizons Marijuana Life Sciences ETF (NASDAQOTH:HMLSF) 42% higher in 2019, but not everyone's having a good time at this party. These former high-flying marijuana stocks have disappointed shareholders that would like to what to expect in the quarters ahead.

2 reasons to buy, and not buy, pot stock Village Farms International

The marijuana industry is shaping up to be a once-in-a-generation investment opportunity, although it'll require the patience of long-term investors.

On the surface, the legal weed industry looks to be on track for between $50 billion and $75 billion in annual sales by the end of the following decade. That's up from just $12.2 billion in worldwide revenue in 2018, according to Arcview Market Research and BDS Analytics. Assuming you're invested in a basket of pot stocks, this growth should translate into at least some of the companies you own turning out to be winners.

From cannabis to baby teeth: What this P.E.I. company puts into its rings

Bradley Gallant likes to get personal with the memory rings he grinds out in his basement apartment in Charlottetown. How personal, you ask?

For one of his first projects a few years ago, Gallant actually put a little bit of himself into his work.

"I had made a ring for my mother for Mother's Day using mine and my two older sisters' crushed baby teeth in the inlay," Gallant said. "She loved it."

It seemed there was no end to the things Gallant could memorialize in a ring. "I actually took a piece of wood from my son's first baby crib and put it into a ring."

Gallant posted some of his rings on Instagram and soon the requests began rolling in. "One woman asked me if I could put her son's ashes into a ring for an inlay," Gallant said.

The key reason to keep Liberty Health Sciences Inc (OTCMKTS:LHSIF) in focus at key support

The drama right now for Liberty Health Sciences Inc (OTCMKTS:LHSIF) shares is about holding key support in convincing fashion.

The cannabis space has been weathering some broad sector corrective pressure as sentiment in the general market steals the thunder from the speculative side of the action. Liberty has been disproportionately waterlogged during this phase, but there remain tantalizing levels above on a bounce at support, and technical support is already in place around the $0.60/share area.
