The former rabbi who sells cannabis prescription

In the suburbs of Washington, the authorized clinic opened by the former rabbi delivers to patients their dose of medical marijuana. But procurement opportunities remain limited for an ever-increasing demand.

The transaction takes just a few minutes behind a closed door. The client, or rather the patient recovers his wares against a handful of twenty dollar bills and left the scene, but not without welcomed Jeffrey Kahn, head of the clinic, a former rabbi. This scene takes place dozens of times a day, in a flowery decor with a cozy atmosphere, to the sound of jazz music.

That means the emergence of boutique-style dispensaries, branded designer strains, “budtenders,” and, yes, business conferences.

Native American Organics said it will help Indian tribes grow and distribute marijuana to wherever legally possible, as well as offer expertise on hydroponics and genetics and advice on how best to work with state and federal officials.

Overall revenue within the I-502 State-legal Cannabis market continues to steadily increase in a largely consistent (linear) fashion, driven largely by the ever-increasing number of Retail stores licensed by the LCB (154, as of May 18 … with approximately 140 actually open for business). Should the LCB continue to grant retail licenses at the current rate, all 334 allocated stores should be licensed by May 15, 2016.

Marijuana as medicine? Let's decide this by science, not emotion: Stephanie Haynes

Senate Bill 143 will legalize marijuana (cannabinoids) as a medicine and take Louisiana back to  100 years ago, before there was any regulation of medicine by the federal Food and Drug Administration. That regulation has given us the best medicine approval process in the world. All medicines must be proven to be safe and effective by the FDA. SB 143 removes the safeguards that are in our state law that require that cannabinoid medicines meet FDA standards.

Cannabis restaurant pops up in London

Cannabistro hopes to re-imagine the “fine art of getting high” by offering diners four gourmet courses inspired by the herb. Hosted by chefs from London’s Grub Club, the event’s menu promises to chart the journey from “the way up to the inevitable munchies on the way down”.

The evening will be split into two halves with the first half based around getting high. Dishes include oxtail ravioli, homegrown herb, hemp and beef bone broth and hemp-cured mackerel, samphire, beetroot and horseradish.

The second half meanwhile will focus on providing relief from “the munchies”, offering hungry diners a kebab and a Snickers bar.
