This high performance liquid chromatograph (HPLC) is the first-ever instrument designed specifically for quantitative determination of cannabinoid content. Founder Matt Dula spent five years in the Marine Corps. He was diagnosed with PTSD shortly after leaving. He said doctors wanted to treat the problem with prescription pill.

The Los Angeles-based technology company LoudCloud launched its app this past January. It’s the answer to simplicity when it comes to owning or managing a cannabis collective.

When Proposition 64 passed in California, legalizing recreational marijuana use, many people imagined that UC Davis might get into the pot business. With the No. 1 agricultural school in the nation, as well as a top plant biology program, UCD seems poised to become a cannabis research leader.
