Toronto has become Canada’s Amsterdam when it comes to cannabis tourism, according to Seven Point Cannabis store in Toronto.

“When it comes to cities, Toronto is becoming the epicentre of cannabis tourism in Canada. More and more people are flocking to the city to enjoy cannabis-related events, shop for premium products, eat in munchie-friendly restaurants, and just enjoy the freedom of smoking a joint in one of many of this city’s parks,” Seven Point Cannabis said in a release.

“Cannabis Tourism in Canada quickly sparked up, with enthusiasts from different parts of the world flocking to enjoy recreational use freely as they please. Because of its lively local culture paired with its thriving cannabis scene, Toronto has become one of the most important places to visit.”

Attractions for stoners include an endless selection of food choices, an arts and culture scene, and the number of people actively pushing for the cannabis lifestyle as well as cannabis-based tours.

“A popular company offering this service is Canada High Tours, which offers a variety of cannabis tours and experiences such as graffiti tours, walking tours, bike tours, shopping tours, and activities such as cannabis cultivation, pipe making, clay-molding, meditation, yoga, art sessions, and even a sensory deprivation tank experience – all while consuming cannabis,” Seven Points says.

Toronto Toke Tours offers a personalized two-hour walking tour around the city, with joints freely passed around. The company also offers cannabis yoga classes and massage sessions that start off with vapes to enhance the relaxing vibe.

The Cannabis Cooking Company is another experience to consider. The Toronto-based culinary school is dedicated to cooking with bud.

“The owners are executive chefs teaching multiple methods of infusing THC into anything you can think of and using it for exquisite dishes. This is a skill you’d want to take home,” Seven Point said.

While 27 million tourists converge on Toronto each year, it is difficult to gauge how big a role cannabis plays in attracting people to the city, said Andrew Weir, executive vice president of Destination Toronto.

“It is hard to assess, but those on the front lines many know better. There may be some of that, but consumers have options and Toronto isn’t the only city,” Weir said.
