On Tuesday, The White Ash Group Inc., a Toronto-based recruitment firm with operations in New York, said the agreement will extend through April 2022 as part of Hifyre’s rapid-growth strategy.

White Ash Group previously worked with Fire & Flower in 2021 to fill director-level positions, and will now help hire mobile developers, product managers, development operations engineers and data analysts.

The company isn’t the only one hiring in the sector. According to a Leafly jobs report last year, industry growth has averaged over 27 per cent since 2017, adding around 321,000 positions in 2021.

In a statement, the hiring firm’s co-founder Graydon Welbourn said Hifyre is growing fast and technology is critical to the growth of the pot industry.

“Hifyre is leading the way in offering a full suite of important technology solutions for companies to leverage,” he said.

The Hifyre digital retail and analytics platform is divided into a real-time sales data analysis platform Hifyre IQ, retail software Hifyre ONE and a member loyalty management system Hifyre SPARK.

In 2018, Fire & Flower acquired Hifyre, after the company developed the industry’s first regulated cannabis e-commerce platform for Mettrum Health Corp., now known as Canopy Growth Corporation‘s (TSX: WEED, NYSE: CGC) medical division, Spectrum Cannabis.

Fire & Flower has cannabis stores in Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, British Columbia, Ontario and the Yukon.

In December, the company signed a loan agreement for $30 million with a wholly owned subsidiary of Alimentation Couche-Tard, which owns Circle K convenience stores.
