From advent-inspired cannabis calendar to THC hot chocolate, here are nine suggestions from The GrowthOp.

This holiday season, amid an ongoing pandemic and with supply shortages hitting everything from televisions to turkeys, there’s probably never been a better time to give the gift of cannabis. 

Last month, the world’s largest cannabis buyer, the Ontario Cannabis Store, launched more than 120 new products onto the market, many with a holiday focus.

Three years into legalization, there’s never been a better selection of unique, regulated products in Canada. Here are nine gift-giving suggestions from The GrowthOp.

Produced in Ottawa by Slow Ride Bakery, a micro-processor founded and operated by husband and wife Vik and Karen Dhawan, each small batch is handmade and each cookie is infused with 10 mg of THC.

Available in five flavours, including holiday classics like Festive Sprinkle Sugar Cookies, Merry Cherry Cookies and Spicy Ginger, each cookie sells for $6.95 via the OCS . If you’re already stuffed from Christmas dinner, the cookies can be frozen for up to three months and enjoyed later.

Santa Claus Ceramic Mug with Pipe from Premium Roast & Toast

A wake and bake session has never been easier. Now you can drink and smoke from the same mug! The smoke filters up the hollow handle to a mouthpiece at the top. Made from ceramic and microwave and dishwasher safe, the mug is also available in a snowman design .

Holiday Bath Fizz Collection by Noon & Night

This limited edition release contains a set of three CBD-infused bath bombs in mint, lavender, and forest-scented Shinrin Yoku. The set contains a total of 300 mg of CBD and sells for $42.95 in Ontario.

The hypoallergenic bath bombs are made with natural ingredients and essential oils and are free of colourants.

12 Js for the Holidays by AHLOT x Thinker

From the company that launched legacy Grizzler pre-rolls in Alberta for $1 , A Higher Level of Thought (AHLOT) has now created Canada’s first legal, advent-inspired cannabis calendar.

The calendar features 12 small pre-rolls (0.25-grams) across two cultivars and retails for $49.95 from the OCS. The pre-rolls are sorted into two categories, ‘On’ and ‘Off.’ The ‘On’ pre-rolls are Ksmorz, a potent hybrid with a lineage of Zookies x PCS1. Flavour profiles include cocoa, chocolate and graham crackers.

San Rafael ’71 candles by Shy Wolf

Small-batch candle company, Shy Wolf, has partnered with Aurora-owned cannabis brand San Rafael ’71 on a line of cannabis-inspired candles. The custom candles are infused with notes of citrus, peach and musk, inspired by the terpenes in Lemon Rocket, Stonefruit Sunset and Driftwood Diesel cultivars.

The candles are hand-poured and made from sustainably-grown soy wax with premium phthalate-free fragrance oils. Available throughout December, San Raf will donate $9.50 from the sale of every order to support the work of Cannabis Amnesty, an organization working on pardons and record expungement for those charged with cannabis possession offences.
