Cannabis lab manufacturer Linked Equipment and solvent recycling giant Maratek have announced a partnership to supply Canadian cannabis producers with fully-functional, portable processing facilities, enabling producers to enter the Canadian cannabis market quickly with superior products.
"Linked Equipment specializes in converting all-steel, intermodular shipping containers into state-of-the-art cannabis processing labs that meet stringent industry requirements and safety standards," said Mark Pike, President and founder of Linked Equipment. "We are proud to partner with one of the world's leading green companies in to deliver turnkey cannabis production facilities to the emerging Canadian market."
For more than 40 years, Ontario-based Maratek has been a leader in recycling solvent waste for the printing, coatings, automotive and aerospace industries in the US and Canada, as well as in Europe, Africa, South America, and Asia. Maratek's cannabis oil and ethanol separation and recovery systems, with solutions for both small-scale operations all the way up to large scale continuous systems that process thousands of gallons per day, are at work in the US and Canada, producing a finished product with over 99 percent purity. Over the past 5 years, they have grown as a key supplier of equipment and engineering services into the fast-growing hemp & cannabis industries, with some clients growing to 7 systems.
"We are looking forward to using Maratek's technologies in our products, as well as their engineering and integration services for closed looped systems for cannabis and hemp oil production. We are also looking to have Maratek provide a central shipping point for Canada-wide distribution of our finished, custom-engineered cannabis processing facilities, which are designed and built in Phoenix," Pike said. "Our partnership is critical in assuring reliable, timely delivery of Linked Equipment products to Canadian customers. As our partnership matures, we will look for other opportunities to work together in the cannabis production field."
"We see a great opportunity working with Linked Equipment to help them provide the high-quality containers to the cannabis and hemp oil industry," said Kyle Georges, Sales Manager of Maratek. "We see the cannabis and hemp industry evolving from lab to industrial scale operations, with clients now focusing on automating as much of the production process as possible to ensure a clean and safe production environment to comply with regulations as well as ensuring a high-quality final product. Linked Equipment is a great partner for our OERS systems that are tailored for the cannabis and hemp industry as well as our engineering and integration services to automate the entire cannabis/hemp oil production process."
"For more than four years, Linked Equipment has been designing and building plug-and-play cannabis processing facilities around the US," Pike said. "We have worked hard to build strategic partnerships in Canadaso we can meet producer demand on Day One." Canada officially legalized marijuana on October 17.
