The licensed cannabis producer Tilray has become one of the few cannabis business with a female majority on their board of directors. Today, they welcomed Rebekah Dopp, Maryscott "Scotty" Greenwood and Christine St.Clare to their Board, writes Calvin Hughes.
"We feel honored to welcome these directors to Tilray’s Board and proud that their appointments will create one of the first majority women led Boards in the cannabis industry," said Tilray CEO Brendan Kennedy in a press release. "Rebekah, Scotty and Christine each bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise that complement and enhance our current Board."
- Rebekah Dopp is Principal, News and Local Media – Global Partnerships at Google, having previously worked with the likes of HBO and CBS to launch their online streaming platforms.
- Maryscott "Scotty" Greenwood brings a wealth of experience and has worked with various government bodies such as the US Embassy in Canada and the 1996 Atlanta OlympicsCommittee. She "currently serves as CEO of the Canadian American Business Council and as Principal at Dentons U.S. LLP in the firm’s Public Policy Group and as co-leader of the practice’s Advocacy and Government Affairs team."
- Christine St.Clare is the founder and president of creative consulting firm St.Clare Advisors, LLC. Her experience goes back to a nearly 35-year stint with KPMG where she was a partner and eventually sat on the Board of Directors.
Rebekah, Scotty and Christine join Tilray CEO Brendan Kennedy and Michael Auerbach - Senior Vice President at Albright Stonebridge Group and General Partner at Subversive Capital - to form the five-person Board.
