The legal cannabis industry has witnessed unprecedented growth over the last three years and this multi-billion-dollar global market is barely in the first inning of a multi-decade growth cycle. The growth of the cannabis industry has also led to the creation of sub-sectors that present attractive investment opportunities.
Earlier this year, we highlighted a company levered to the rapidly growing cannabis industry that provides a product not requiring them to touch the plant. That business was VPR Brands, LP (VPRB) and today, the company further expanded its product line after announcing the launch of The Honey Stick ProBox Kit.
This limited-edition product provides a suite of VPR products and is meant to serve as the all-in-one tool for consuming flower, oil or wax. The Honey Stick ProBox Kit offers the company’s best-selling products in a custom cut authentic Pelican Case. The kit includes the following items:
- Honey Stick Rippo Vaporizer
- Honey Stick 36W Power bank digital battery
- OZ ohm Tank
- Honey Stick Aficionado Kit
- Kush Army Knife
- Honey Stick Dab Container
- Titanium Dab Tool
- Custom Pelican Case
An Expanding Product Line Focused on Concentrates
In July 2016, VPR Brands acquired Vapor Corp’s wholesale operations and assets. Vapor Corp. previously traded on the Nasdaq exchange under the symbol VPCO. Following this acquisition, the company has been focused on acquiring assets and intellectual property levered to the emerging cannabis industry. The assets owned by VPR Brands include vaporizers, electronic cigarette products and related components.
VPR Brands has an extensive product line that offers a solution for each level of consumer. The number of products offered has significantly increased over the last six months and we expect it to continue to increase as the company fully integrates and streamlines operations following the acquisition of Vapor Corp.
In mid- January, VPR showcased its Stinger product at the 2017 Big Industry Show in Los Angeles. The Stinger is part of the Honey Stick product line and was developed specifically for cannabis concentrates. We are bullish on the concentrate side of the cannabis industry due to the attractive fundamentals for producers and the strong demand from consumers.
Continues to Execute on a Primary Company Initiative
One of VPR’s primary goals over the last six months has been the integration of Vapor Corp’s wholesale business.
Initially, VPR focused on integrating the wholesale side of Vapor Corp’s business. This is a significant initiative due to the similarities between the two businesses and the amount of potential synergies.
We think the integration has progressed on schedule and this should result in VPR Brands report earnings that show impressive growth on a quarter-over-quarter and year-over-year basis.
