Hawaii State ​Department of Health awards $159K medi-juana tracking contract to BiotrackTHC - Pacific Business News

Florida-based BiotrackTHC has been selected to implement Hawaii's first medical marijuana seed-to-sale tracking system, the state health department confirmed Wednesday.

The Hawaii State Department of Health's Office of Health Care Assurance awarded the state tracking contract for $159,000 to BioTrackTHC on Dec. 28. The company offers a government software solution for the tracking of the production, transportation and sale of medical marijuana. Hawaii is preparing to open its first medical marijuana retail dispensaries this summer, 15 years after the drug was made legal.
