Why on earth are Durham police no longer going to prosecute cannabis farmers?
Despite the medical evidence that cannabis causes psychosis, Durham police have announced that they will no longer prosecute those growing “small quantities” for personal consumption. Apparently, numerous other forces take the same view, but haven’t had the front to admit it.
Many ministers admit having used illegal substances; so this policy of allowing the nation to rot its brains and become a danger to everyone else has yet to be countermanded. I long to hear the view of the Home Secretary, Theresa May, on the subject, since all these police forces wilfully ignoring the law answer to her.
I bet it is boring for the police to have to arrest cannabis farmers. But it’s probably boring for them to have to arrest burglars. No doubt the next step will be to start turning
