Attendance Getting Higher At Marijuana Business Trade Shows

When Chicago’s Hilton Hotel hosts a MarijuanaBusiness Conference and Expo keynoted by a best-selling economist, cannabis-entrepreneurs seem to be gaining acceptance. Indeed, marijuana-focused trade shows are growing alongside the marijuana legalization trend.

The National Cannabis Industry Association (NCIA) based in Denver Colorado organizes trade shows and lobbies lawmakers for the legal cannabis industry. Last year they organized thirty-five events including symposia, lobbying days, networking receptions and educational events, according to Aaron Smith, Executive Director of the NCIA. The group includes 850 member companies who pay at least $1000 per year to belong to and support the organization.
